Location: DONGGUAN, China 860 sqm 2016
Client: Citic Real Estate Co. LTD
Type: Residential

The new important intervention by Citic Group is a residential complex of 1000 apartments and villas on the route connecting Shenzen to Dongguan. Area-17 designed the interiors of the showroom-villa and apartments, as well as the sale center.

The scheme is a very ambitious one, particularly from a commercial standpoint. It aims to provide clients with residences ready to use, featuring basic furnishing, but still with the possibility of custom-tailoring each space. All the units will be furnished with pieces by the Italian design company Colombini.
The development of this area is part of a wider and very interesting scenario of the Chinese growth. The real estate business in Shenzen, the so-called “Chinese Silicon Valley,” has never faced a crisis and is the most dynamic in the country. In order to control exorbitant prices, the government together with developers is looking for alternative solutions, among which the realization of new settlements like this one, connected to Shenzen through new infrastructure currently under construction.
